The Albuquerque Balloon Fiesta in New Mexico hosts approximately 800 balloon entries. Part of the display is before dawn where they have the "Dawn Patrol" where many of the balloon owners will fire up the burners giving a beautiful glow against the dark sky. The "zebras" (referees) keep control of the balloons taking off in waves, and are part of the many competitions that are available to balloon crews. This is a photographic heaven, with so much color and action to record.
